WHO I AM

Debi Tonks, wife and mother, talented designer, teacher and communicator

First and foremost, I am a family woman.  I have an amazing husband and four wonderful children.  I homeschool the children during the week, and devote my Saturdays to Breewood.  This interesting dynamic allows me to live multiple passions at once: being a mother, teacher, and designer.

I graduated with a degree in Visual Communication from the University of Idaho.  My emphasis and love was in information design, which is the craft of presenting information in a clear but visually appealing way.  Open and clear communication has always been my goal.

Before becoming a mother, I worked full-time at the Appaloosa Journal.  There, I was typically given the task of designing the “impossible ads,” where clients would buy a small ad, but would give us enough copy and photographs for a much larger space.  I thrived on these challenges, and was known for my ability to make the impossible work.  These challenges sharpened my skills, which I can now use to help you take your business to another level.

HOW I DO IT

Working with me is simple and easy.  I strive to do my very best work for my clients every time.

So you’re wondering how all of this works?

Well, working with me is a simple process, really.  But it is different.  After all, I’m also enjoying a busy mom-life.  But with my easy system in place, we can enjoy working together and living our lives, too!

What to expect

When we work together, I will give you a document detailing the work we agreed upon beforehand.  You can give me any task that would benefit your business, so long as it falls within my skill-set.  And don’t worry, I’m just fine with letting you know when you need someone with more experience.  I want this process to be fun for both of us, and trying to be something I’m not would just get in the way.

I will reserve a block of time (typically six consecutive Saturdays) which are fully devoted to your project.

Half of the payment is due at the beginning of the project, and the other half is due at the end.  If I finish the project early, you will receive a discount.

It’s that simple.
